Chapter History

The Center of the Valley Chapter, NSDAR, was founded on October 6, 2012, in Valley Center, California, with 14 organizing members.  As of September 2022, the chapter has 29 active members, four prospective members, and two associate members.

Chapter members are actively involved with community libraries, schools, hospitals, churches, museums, and veteran and active duty military-associated organizations, building an impressive record of community service, historic preservation, and service to our country's military.

Chapter members are from Valley Center, Escondido, San Marcos, and various other cities in San Diego County. One member lives in Oak View, CA, one member lives in Arizona, one member lives in Idaho, two members live in Texas, and one member lives in Tennessee.  Local residency is not a requirement for membership in any DAR chapter.
